A new category for novels "Extreme Action" I am not a great reader of books (first E-book) I have probably only read two or three hundred in my lifetime, however not since "Jaws" (I skipped school for a week to read it) can I remember being so engrossed in a story! The cover and title are misleading, although the Writers first prologue hits the nail on the head and drives it home. A more apt title would have been "Fate is a fickle bitch", however, "Don't judge a book by its cover"

I had stopped reading on Friday 29 October at Chapter 108 and all through the weekend I kept thinking of what was going to happen to the characters next.
I finished in a couple hours on Monday 1 November. I liked the disjointed lay out, similar to the way a Stephen King novel builds suspense, the reading doesn't get bogged down as the writer tries to describe every minute detail of what the characters look like, their surroundings or the weather and appearance of buildings etc. as well as the lack of and use of metaphors, similes or analogies.
What really kept me reading was the way the action flowed, there are no chapters that I can recall that are void of action of one sort or another and more than a few twists to the plot (some quite disgusting) which keeps the reading interesting and the reader wide awake! I had to use the dictionary for some of the Writers big words like "nepenthe". Since there are no references to years of anything like birthdays, cars, motorcycles or tunes on the radio, the time period or era of when the story is happening is a little confusing and it was a bit difficult to conjure pictures of when things were happening.
The story itself is intriguing and descriptions of what the characters were doing and the action were superior and the reading seemed to move along extremely well. Overall I would rate it an A for the twisted story line (except the ending I thought it was too predictable) C- on the literary portion.
Still... the book was not what I was expecting and kept my interest until I finished. An excellent story!

This was a good book that kept me reading late in the night. The book cover says it all, lots of Lust, Murder and Revenge with a story line and characters that beg for a sequel. Mr. Holleman's skills of description allowed me to picture the scenes and see it happening - Great job!!
Well written story. Definitely kept me wanting more. The editing could be a little better. Not for the weak hearted, but if you love to hear about comebacks and revenge, you will find it here.
